SUBS unterstützt Newcomer. Auf verschiedenen Filmfestivals verleihen wir den Wanderpokal Der Goldene Buchstabe für den besten Nachwuchsfilm. Prämiert werden Filme, die sich in besonderer Weise mit interkultureller Kommunikation oder mit Kulturvermittlung auseinandersetzen. Die Jury besteht aus FilmspezialistInnen, die selbst in diesem Themenbereich arbeiten.
Mit dem Preis im Wert einer Film- oder Videountertitelung in eine beliebige europäische Standardsprache unterstützen wir unsererseits die interkulturelle Kommunikation: Untertitelte Filme können auch jenseits der Landesgrenzen verstanden und geschätzt werden und den NachwuchsregisseurInnen wird der Sprung auf die internationale Festivalbühne erleichtert.
