Alex Thiele joined the britspotting team in 2007 as festival director and divides her time between London and Berlin. She has worked in the film industry for the past 12 years. Her early career started out at the British Film Institute working for the London Film Festival and London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. When she is not busy with britspotting, Alex produces films. To date she has produced four short films with successful international festival runs and DVD distribution deals in Germany, the UK and US. Most recently she co-produced the feature film Break My Fall, which will be released theatrically in the UK and in Germany in early summer 2011: www.breakmyfall.co.uk www.breakmyfall.co.uk Barbara Fassnacht was voted chairwoman in 2010. She first joined britspotting in 2003 and worked at the festival office. She is a founding member of the supporting association that regrouped the festival in 2004 and named it britspotting british and irish film festival e.V. Barbara used to be head of festival office & guest management and was a member of the feature film team before she acted as a festival management assistant. She does press work and works on the festival brochure. Barbara studied communication science in Berlin and received her M.A. for her thesis on enterprise communications.       Florian Zappe has been with britspotting since 2001 and was immediately at home with the short film department. Florian is a founding member of britspotting e.V., the supporting association that regrouped the festival in 2004. In 2005 he subjoined the Experimental Shorts to the programme. Currently Florian is the head programmer for short and experimental film. Besides his work as a curator he's pursuing his academic career in film and literary studies.   Selina Robertson is the feature film programme director. She joined britspotting in 2007. Selina lives in Berlin and London and has worked in the film industry for the past 15 years. She previously programmed at the london lesbian & gay film festival. Currently Selina co-runs club des femmes - a queer/feminist film club and writes for The List in Scotland and Little Joe, a queer arts magazine from London. She curates the theatre at Soho House Berlin. One of her favourite films is Powell and Pressburger's I Know Where I Am Going but her guilty pleasure is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Tom Gillis came aboard britspotting in 2010. He shapes the homepage and updates its details.
