DVD britspotting 48hour Film Challenge 04

It usually takes a whole year to make a two-hour feature film. How much can independent film makers in Berlin do in just 48 hours? Get this DVD and find out!

88 teams of young film makers met the challenge at britspotting 04 to make a three minute film within only one weekend. On Saturday, 1st May 04 each team received a title and genre for their film in a random draw just before the start of the competition. They had exactly 48 hours to script, shoot and edit their film. 74 films were finally handed in, most of them so well made they leave you wondering whether the film makers got any sleep at all.

An international jury selected the best films and prizes sponsored by das werk, Adobe and ULead were awarded at the British Embassy the following Monday. The best 50 films were shown on four sold out screenings during the britspotting film festival 04 and will go on tour to be screened at the Goethe Institut London and various other locations.

Inside you'll find all 74 films on two DVDs including trailer, introduction and making-of.
